Spray paint, acrylic, and marker pen on an original MTA New York City Subway map, Signed upper right in black marker.

A vibrant and striking original work by the legendary graffiti artist SEEN, often referred to as the “Godfather of Graffiti.” Executed directly on an authentic Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Subway map, the piece fuses the energy of 1970s street art with a refined studio composition.

Each of SEEN’s subway map works is unique, hand-painted and individually composed — a direct continuation of his groundbreaking interventions on the New York subway system during the late 1970s and early 1980s. This example captures his signature blend of colour, motion, and controlled chaos, celebrating the legacy of graffiti’s underground origins.
